TURNOVER

One of the most ambitious projects is the new Sanitex headquarters building. The rapid development of the company in recent years has led to Sanitex outgrowing its old home and moving to a new office after a break of more than 20 years.

The building with an area of almost 5,000 sq. m. on the banks of the Nemunas River subtly reflects the harmony between work and nature. An office in the forest – this was one of the main tasks in implementing this project. Planting a forest in an industrial part of the city is not an easy task, but thanks to consistent teamwork, Sanitex employees can feel surrounded by nature in the office, where a green working environment contributes to emotional well-being and better company results.

More than 350 modern workplaces, leisure and recreation areas have been created in the new Sanitex central office.

From the very beginning, the technical vision of the building was created – to minimize the impact on the environment. The geothermal heating and cooling system installed in the building allows for efficient and sustainable indoor comfort, part of the required electricity is generated from solar energy, and the collected rainwater is used to maintain the created plant ecosystem.

On 4th June, 2025, Sanitex headquarters was awarded the BREEAM certificate with the highest rating score – outstanding. This is the first public building in Kaunas to receive such a rating.
BREEAM is the most numerous, world-leading, science-based building sustainability assessment standard that helps raise the bar for building quality to a new level and build buildings that are more friendly to people and the environment. Simply put, the BREEAM certificate shows that the building meets the generally recognized international requirements for a “green” building.
We are pleased to contribute to creating a more sustainable future and provide the company’s employees with the opportunity to work in an environment that meets the highest standards.

Installation of charging points for private electric vehicles of legal entities at workplaces

The opportunity to receive support from the joint project “Installation of private electric vehicle charging points” by submitting an application to the Lithuanian Energy Agency under the announced call “Installation of private electric vehicle charging points of legal entities at workplaces” prompted UAB SANITEX to plan to install electric vehicle charging points.

The joint project is implemented under the Economic Recovery and Resilience Plan “Next Generation Lithuania”, financed by the European Union’s Economic Recovery and Resilience Instrument “NextGenerationEU”.

UAB SANITEX recently updated its car fleet. Plug-in hybrid cars were purchased that require electric charging infrastructure. The green course and efficiency when choosing new models were among the most important criteria. The company continues to work purposefully to reduce GHG emissions in its activities. A total of 4 electric charging stations were installed in the underground parking lot of the central UAB SANITEX office.
